Greatly influenced by her brother and supported by her parents, Katie learned to skate at age 3 and joined her first hockey team at age 5. Katie played on Team Illinois for three years in Junior High (1994-1997), but left hockey behind in high school. Once enrolled in college, she realized she missed hockey. She joined the UIUC organization during her sophomore year and was President of both club teams and captain of the #1 team for three of her four years with the Illini. Katie is excited to play with Team Glacier after competing against them for many seasons. She is eager to help the team reach its goal of going to Nationals in 2007. When not on the ice, Katie is working 2 jobs and riding 20 miles a day on her bike to get to work. |

As a young girl growing up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Kristi always dreamed of playing ice hockey but Mom just wouldn't buy in. Long after having given up her dreams of playing, she saw a sign at a sporting goods store for an All-Women's team. In Kristi's words "she couldn't make the call fast enough." The rest is history. Kristi became a standout power forward and captain of the Fox Valley Falcons A/B team. Hockey is a way of life for the Anderson family. Kristi loves watching her daughter play for Team Illinois and her husband doesn't seem to mind all the driving. If not playing hockey, Kristi can be found watching it on TV, dirt biking in the U.P. with her husband, playing other sports, and working as a substitute teacher. Kristi loves playing with Team Glacier and looks forward to working hard and having more fun with her TG teammates. |

Caroline grew up in the home of hockey, Canada. As a youngster in Cornwall, Ontario, Caroline took to the ice at the age of 8 and played competitively through high school. Refusing to leave the ice, Caroline continued to play recreationally all the way through her university days in Ottawa, internship days in Toronto and work days in Denver. Luckily, Caroline found Team Glacier when she moved to Chicago in 2003 and has played with TG since then. A few things that Caroline misses most from back home: family, friends, poutine, Tim Horton's and Hockey Night in Canada! Caroline can be seen sipping coffee around the world, but mostly in hockey rinks in the midwest or at her day job as an attorney and compliance officer for a subsidiary of a large French bank. |

Marie is a tenacious speed forward, usually the first to the puck and the last to tire. A former college basketball player, Marie began her hockey career eight years ago with several TG teammates on the Chicago Ice. She is inspired and encouraged in the sport by both of her hockey-playing children: 15-year old Quinn, a AAA midget minor, and 12-year old Adelle, the only girl on her peewee gold boys' team. An elementary and college level teacher/instructor, Marie is the former drummer of Chicago's own Skapone, a local ska band, and plays on coed ice and roller hockey teams. |

Originally from Chicago's south suburbs, Brenda started playing hockey as a kid on frozen ponds in the winter with her cousins. As a high school standout athlete, her competitive nature eventually led her to organized ice hockey in 1995. Also an avid skydiver, our daredevil forward became a world record holder, participating in the world's largest all women's formation. The event was called Jump for the Cause and raised a half million dollars for breast cancer awareness. In August 2004, Brenda became a mom and loves her new job of taking care of her son. She is trying to get back into hockey shape if she could just find the time! She also enjoys softball, motorcycles and flying with her husband, Robbie in their small plane. |

AJ is no stranger to ice hockey. Starting as a wee-tyke on the backyard rink she played in boy's leagues in Zion, IL until a family move took them to Michigan's Upper Peninsula at age 13. Once settled in the small town of Laurium, she played on boys teams until she joined the girls U19 Keweenaw Wings in Houghton. From there she served as team president and captain of the Michigan Tech Women's team while earning a computer science degree in December 2001. AJ was a key leader in Team Glacier's 2003 State Championship run and, in 2004, missed the majority of the season due to injury. She often spends time with her family of 14, refereeing ice hockey, or playing golf, softball, racquetball, and fishing. |

A new addition to Team Glacier, Lisa hails from the western suburb of Western Springs, IL, but has been living in Chicago for 5 years. Lisa's hockey 'career' began at age 5, pond skating in the forest preserves around her childhood home with her father and brother, and spans two decades of boy's and girl's travel hockey, high school boy's hockey at the varsity level, men's league, and women's hockey in both Illinois and Wisconsin. When she is off the ice, Lisa works as a librarian at The Field Museum in Chicago, and is currently doing her masters work at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. |

Rebelling against her mother's dreams of having a figure skating daughter/son pair, both Pat and her brother (currently living in Manhattan) play ice hockey. Playing for the Chicago Ice, the Inferno and now Team Glacier, Pat brings a wealth of experience and speed to our forward line. Working for the City of Chicago's department of environment, Pat coordinates community gardening and job training programs and is involved putting in the flower boxes along streets and boulevards that decorate our city, among other headaches. In her spare time, she likes to bake and cook stuff then eat her creations, and would like to say Hi to Wellington. |

Monette McKinney |

Monette's been on skates since she was four years old, but didn't start playing hockey until she was 24. Like many other Team Glacier players, once she tried ice hockey, she was hooked. Today, she's not only a key defender on Team Glacier, but also an ice hockey referee and schools one of our forwards in the intricacies of the perfect game of racquetball. In her spare time, Monette enjoys watching her fiance's band, Bad Monkey, play live shows, hanging out at her condo with the electronic dart machine, and chilling with the TG girls. She's also relieved to say that she can still get up in the morning for her engineering job at Lucent Technologies after late weeknight practices 35 miles from home. |

After sampling nearly every position in the game, Rita began perfecting the art of goaltending about 5 years ago. A lifelong NHL fan, she jumped on the opportunity to get in on the act when she discovered a team willing to take on a beginning player. She credits former Chicago Ice teammate Mary Gutowski with getting her started and putting her in touch with a terrific goalie coach. In addition to backstopping Team Glacier through its first two seasons, Rita plays with the big boys on a Chicago men's league team. |

Jena started figure skating at the age of eight and bored with it by ten. She always watched her younger brother play hockey and wanted to get in on the actions. It wasn’t until she was thirteen that she got a chance to play on an all girls team out of Franklin Park where she was the captain. Jena left hockey behind in high school and played volleyball, basketball, and softball. When she attended University Of Wisconsin-Whitewater she laced her skates back up and joined the club team. She was an assistant captain her last two seasons with the Warhawks. Jena is excited to play with Glacier's talented group of players and help them achieve the team goal of going to Nationals. When Jena is not on the ice, she is playing competitive softball, biking, or hanging out with her friends. |

Erin hails from Lake Forest, IL, and brings with her a wealth of hockey experience and knowledge. She began playing at the age of six for the Falcons youth organization. After playing with the boys for three years, Erin joined the Shooting Stars club (which later became the backbone for the Team Illinois girls' program) where she played until the age of 12. After a 5 year hockey hiatus, Erin laced up the skates once again and went on to earn Rookie of the Year honors for the now-defunct Milwaukee Pond Piranhas of the WCHL. Since that time, she has participated numerous times in the Women's National Tournament, as well as numerous other tournaments in North America and abroad. Erin is excited to play with Team Glacier and is looking forward to another run at the National Championship.
